Meghan and Ryan

It was a crisp wintery day, without snow.  Meghan wanted  to do a vintage look and a more contemporary look too.  She wanted to create "Save the Date" cards for her June 27th wedding.

Since it was cold, I told Ryan to keep her warm... I wanted them close too!  I knew they knew each other very well, as Ryan joined the Peace Corps and traveled to Africa.  Meghan joined him for part of the trip and they grew to become very close!

Meghan and Ryan are planning their wedding ceremony and reception.  The reception will be in a barn previously owned by Henry Ford.  Meghan's parents moved the barn from Botsford Hospital to their home and plan to host all the guests at the reception!  Something like "Father of the Bride"!

Meghan is an accomplished photographer and I have had the pleasure to work with her!  She also designs most of my wedding albums and retouches images for me as well.  It is a delight to work with her and I can't wait to photograph their wedding!  During the past year I have come to know Meghan, Ryan and her family well and I love them all!!!

Carla and Dan

I love this image of Carla and Dan!  I had my clients vote on their favorite engagement photos and 9 times out of 10,  they would pick this one!  I give everyone a FREE engagement session too!

I talked with Carla on the phone about the two of them harmonizing their outfits for the photo shoot.  I suggested that they both wear light or both wear dark colors.  Well, she showed up in a tight formal tube top with skinny jeans.  He showed up in a baggy white shirt and loose khaki shorts, unshaven for a while.   I wanted to capture their personalities, love and affection for each other!

I complimented her on the flower in her hair and I decided to make it a very casual look!  He was from California in comfy sandals and she was from Michigan a sweet midwestern girl.

Needless to say they loved the image too!   I created a table at their wedding with an assortment of engagement photos too!

I captured this image of them dancing from afar.  It was a quiet romantic moment in the twilight.  I like to tell a story of the entire day and I think they used this image on the last page of their wedding album.

Demetra & James

Demetra & James were a delight to photograph!  They were on a tight schedule and could only come in on one rainy afternoon.   The lighting was soft and I enhanced the fall colors.  They could not believe the results!

After their free engagement photo session, I sat down with them to go over the details of their wedding day.  They wanted help with the schedule and Demetra was having a hard time figuring it out on her own.  Within 5 minutes and asking her a few questions, we had a "game plan" of  the day.  She was so pleased!  She wanted to arrive at the reception early, to meet & greet guests and she wanted to go to a park too.  I suggested a park with water just a few minutes away and we actually arrived at the reception earlier than she expected, so she has some time to freshen up before meeting her guests!

It rained during her engagement photo session, however her wedding day, ceremony and reception was stunning!  They both are excited because of all the images for their wedding and we will give them a custom designed layout of their album very soon too!
